Grade 10, Here is the Personal Project Progress Checklist that I handed to you in lifeskills this week (9/11/2011). You should be working your way through the checklist to make sure that you have completed and DOCUMENTED each step in your process journal. Share this checklist with your supervisor! Also, remember to complete the worksheets (in your process journal) that were given to you by Mr. Erdosy, the AOI Coordinator. These worksheets were created in order to facilitate a better understanding of how you can apply your Area of Interaction in your Personal Project Development. Share this information with your supervisor and make sure to document it in your process journal! This month, you must continue to work your way through the Personal Project steps in the Student Guide and make yourself very familiar with the Objectives (also the Assessment Criteria). 1. Goal /AOI should be chosen & refined 2. Project goal should be outlined-- create a PLAN and a Calendar (this will be developed further after the goals are specified) 3. Resources should be developed (this is ongoing)- Work to find a variety of sources and document ALL OF THEM in your process journal! You may use concept maps, target notes, two column responses (2CRs) or any other format that best helps you to brainstorm/document resources/question etc. I've attached the template that you've used with Mrs. Jones. Target Notes 4. Process Journal Development- *Recording evidence of brainstorming, organizational charts, diagrams etc. *Recording evidence of goal setting/planning (action plans, charts etc) *Record meetings with your supervisor by preparing questions in advance, documenting the discussion and any suggestions that they give you. *Identifying problems as they occur, documenting proposed solutions and reflection throughout the entire process. 5. Develop the Specifications to the Goal- Once you have outlined the project and developed resources, you should begin to develop the specifications to your goal (with your supervisor's help). I have sent a google form to your e-mail called Personal Project Goal Specifications. Please read through the questions and example & fill out the form with realistic specifications. You must then document those specifications in your process journal in the form of a checklist or a rubric! Warm Regards, Ms. Giandalia | Archives |
